CNC Milling Aluminum Prototypes
Aluminum CNC prototyping is an effective way to process complicated design verification and pre-production testing before the mass manufacturing of tooling die casting parts. It allows you to find and solve problems faster and move towards production.
CNC Metal machining is a subtractive manufacturing process where raw material is removed with a variety of precision cutting tools to make a part or product. Advanced software is used to control the equipment according to the specification of your 3D design. After the regular raw machining for the metal material, most of the structures can be achieved; for those structures that not able to mill, EDM process is a good choice to get all details done. Our team of engineers and machinists program the equipment to optimize cutting time, surface finish and final tolerance to meet your specifications.
We have combined 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling, CNC turning and other manufacturing processes to expand the manufacturing capabilities of the aluminum alloy prototypes, accommodate any challenge with ease, and save time and cost. These optimized process combinations include traditional process technologies such as EDM, Wire EDM, tapping, threading, deburring, sharp edges removing, etc.
Aluminum Material Grades We Work With
The type of aluminum grade you ultimately choose depends on the intended use of your aluminum parts in the manufacturing project. For aerospace grade complies with AMS4027, Al7075-T6, Al7075-T7, Al6061-T651 is widely used on spare parts of aerospace aluminum design verification, prototyping stage, and mass production. Al6061 is most common material on different industries, we have this material in stock in the whole year and thus can finish the milling parts in quick time which is about 2~3 days, also this material has better post finishing properties such as anodized or chem film. The material such as Al6063, this is suitable for parts that require colorful anodized for example blue/red anodized, it has stable appearance for such custom finish. Other materials such as Al6082, Aluminum A380, Al5052, Al2024 are also available.
CNC Machined Steel prototype
We also CNC mill rapid prototype steel parts, as steel material is hard, it will take longer time to mill and harm the CNC machines and CNC tools in somehow, thus the cost for CNC steel parts is normally higher. The steel parts that we normally machined are SS304, SS303, SS316, SS316L, carbon steel, CRES, 17-4ph, Steel4130, etc.
Other metals parts such as brass, copper, zamark, zinc alloy, magnesium alloy, titanium are well machined by us too, do contact us if you require any metal prototypes.
